Daniel Johnson and Brie Stoner have been brewing their musical chemistry for years. Their projects together include an ethereal take on Cole Porter’s “Don’t Fence Me In” which Nokia showcased in their commercial campaign for the launch of its first smartphone. Both solo artists in their own right, Daniel and Brie decided to create the avila project as an exclusive outlet for their shared vision – a cinematic mix of Daniel’s swirling productions and Brie’s beautiful, sultry vocals. Their first official release is Curtains, a short EP featuring reinterpretations of classic songs such as “I Walk The Line,” “All Shook Up” and “My Favorite Things.”
