Go Go Berlin

Three years ago, five friends plugged in their instruments and started to play.
Nothing was planned and everyone was allowed to play their own tunes in one big mix. The result was a rock ‘n’ roll sound that embraces the genre all the way back to the 1960’s.
At that point none of them thought that things would evolve the way it did;

Go Go Berlin hooked up with Heartbeat Music & Management in September 2012, and at the same time signed A.S.S. Concerts as their EU agency. 2012 was spent touring Denmark (both as main act and supporting The Blue Van) and writing material for the debut album.

2013 was kicked off by GAFFA (Danish leading music magazine) predicted that Go Go Berlin would break through in 2013.

In april 2013 Go Go Berlin signed with Mermaid Records/Sony Music and Good Songs publishing/Universal Publishing, followed by the release of their first single and video “Raise Your Head”, which was added at national radio stations, P3 and MyRock.

In may 2013 Go Go Berlin appeared on the cover of SPOTFESTIVAL magazine and played a 5/6 star reviewed show at the festival.
This was also the time where Go Go Berlin started working with photographer Morten Rygaard (voted as “worlds best photographer” in 2009).

Besides playing 90+ shows during 2013 (including Roskilde Festival, Skanderborg Festival and support gig for Kensington in Netherlands), Go Go Berlin had time to release their 2nd single “Castles Made Of Sand” and their debut album “New Gold” in September 2013.

“New Gold” received great reviews (5/6 stars) in Danish media and reached top 10 (both the overall list and the rock category) at iTunes and Hitlisten.dk.

In September Go Go Berlin also appeared on the cover of Tjeck Magazine, and performs live on NDR Radio show, Njoy Radio and Byte.Fm in Germany.

As a result of Go Go Berlins showcase at Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany, the band was invited by Sat Bislar of A&R Worldwide to play at Global Rock Summit and Musexpo, USA, and in October 2013 Go Go Berlin signed with Sony Music Germany/Austria/Swizerland, followed by Sony Music Holland/Belgium in December.
