Lovers Electric

Lovers Electric are an Australian electro pop band made up of fashionable husband and wife team David Turley and Eden Boucher. The son of a poet and a composer, Turley always hoped to be a musician and began songwriting at an early age while Boucher, the fifth of seven daughters, wanted to set herself apart from her family of musicians – three of her sisters are also professional singers – and so during their first few years in London together she pursued her passion for theatre and fashion design, establishing the women’s fashion label Eden Honeydew. Eden was eventually persuaded by David to pursue music with him and they soon began songwriting together, founding Lovers Electric, an ode to their natural chemistry on and off the stage. In December of 2006, they recorded their first EP titled Bedroom Recordings. The record caught the attention of MTV who ultimately chose the song “Closer” as the theme for the hugely successful reality show The Hills.

Immediately after a successful tour supporting Orchestral Manoueveres In The Dark, David and Eden recorded the final tracks for their debut album Whatever You Want. Released by Sony Music Australia, the album was a top 10 hit in the iTunes charts, and stormed into the top slot of the club charts with the debut single ‘Honey’. Next up they camped out in the barn at Ridge Farm Studios in South England with producer David Tickle (Prince, U2, Split Enz) to record their sophomore album “Impossible Dreams”, which was released through Universal Germany, with singles “Beating Like A Drum” & “Love Can Save Us” in high rotation and the album reaching top 10 in the charts.

Their latest full length offering “Strangers”, was recorded somewhere between Berlin, London & the Italian countryside with German producer Philipp Steinke (Boy), and brings stories of heartache, tragedy, joy & hope together, poured and pulled into 12 heartfelt songs. The album is set for release in late 2015 and is available for download below.
