Patois is a new project by Detroit artist and producer Daniel Johnson. Produced and performed entirely by Johnson, his forthcoming debut, Chemtrails, mixes dark, piano driven songs with percolating synths and hip hop beat production. Chemtrails’ 10 songs are an unflinching and unfiltered domestic journal in the tradition of John Lennon’s early solo work and Marvin Gaye’s divorce epic, Here, My Dear. No stranger to the sync community, Daniel’s work from his side project (indie electronic duo Avila), has been featured in numerous TV shows, promos, and commercial campaigns.
